A Prayer for Transition

Gracious and loving God, guide the dean search committee and the people of St. Luke's as we navigate this period of discernment. Empower us to use our gifts and talents wisely. May we share our ideas openly and honestly, respecting the opinions of others. May the work of the committee be done with humility, patience, and joy. We pray that your Holy Spirit opens our hearts and minds to new challenges and opportunities, knowing that Jesus Christ walks with us every step of the way.

Our Search for the Next Dean

St. Luke's is in a sacred time of transition as we look to call the next leader of our beloved community. Our search committee members will lead us in this process; they will share updates via our newsletter (E-Pistle), worship bulletins, and regular updates to the website.

About Our Community

In a spirit of thanksgiving for God's love, we offer a Christian community of welcome, inclusion and support. All are welcome here. Through a ministry of faith and prayerful reflection, and comfort and shelter in times of trial or sorrow, we celebrate the grace and love of God and Christ.

Our Next Dean

We seek a clergy leader who can guide our congregation with deep faith, compassion, vitality, and good humor. We seek a person of prayer and a preacher of Christ's love who can lead us as we grow, change, and care for others and ourselves.

Milestones

July - August 2025

September - October 2025

November - December 2025

January - February 2026

March - April 2026

We announced the search committee members. We held a public commissioning of the search committee and hosted a discussion with our community to discuss the search. The Search Committee formed subcommittees to help organize and lead specific focus areas, including prayer, communications, creation of the parish profile and job profile, website updates, interview guides, and financial planning. The committee completed training related to tools for project management and processes for receiving applications.

The work of the above subcommittees is continuing. In September, the committee met for prayer and potluck planning. We reviewed results from the Thomas-Kidman Conflict Mode Instrument to guide our interactions as a committee. We held a Zoom meeting with Bishop Brown to  collaborate and clarify processes. We gathered parish-wide input to compile the parish profile and job profile.
